The build-up of paint within your spray booth is, from our experience, one of the biggest problems for operators. Detatrol is the solution to this problem.
Paint build-up is the major cause of spray booth pump failure, reduced water flow and blocked nozzles. All of these result in a financial cost, in either the replacement of broken parts or lost production and sometimes both.
We have found that many companies accept these blockages as 'par for the course' when they have a wet spraybooth. But why? We say that there is no need to accept the build-up of hard paint anywhere within your spraybooth. It does not matter if you have a large booth (as with the pipes shown above) or a more standard 1000 - 3000-litre booth.
The first thing is to determine whether you are running with the correct denaturants in your booth. These WILL ensure that all of the paint is denatured and is kept soft. This will prevent build up, as soft paint will continue to flow around your system, thereby ensuring that the pump, pipes and nozzles are running at maximum efficiency. Our denaturant products work very well within all types of spray booth and with all paint types.
Once you have decided upon your chemicals it is time to clean your booth. This couldn't really be more simple. DETARTROL is our professional descaling product that will soften all paint held within a spray booth, making it easy to remove and clean. Simply add Detartrol to your spraybooth water (2 - 4% concentration) and allow it to circulate for 24 - 30 hours (this can be spread across 2 - 3 working days/shifts). This means that the booth can continue to be used, whilst cleaning has taken place.
Detratrol is a liquid and flows around the booth system, it becomes attached to the paint within your pump, pipes, nozzels and tank, meaning that everywhere is being cleaned. After 2-3 days the water should be removed, the booth rinsed, pipes flushed, nozzles wiped and then the system re-filled with fresh water.
