Anti Spatter and Lubricants
Anti-spatter or anti-adherent lubricants are an important ingredient in the metal preparation process - eg for welding, soldering or in laser cutting machinery.
Anti-spatter has many purposes, such as stopping molten deposits sticking to metal once cooled. These deposits, commonly known as spatter or even splatter, exist when molten metal created by the welding or laser cutting process, if allowed to cool, leaves small lumps on the finished piece. This is both unsightly and, in many cases, leads to rejects.
The secondary use for anti-spatter is to improve paint adherence to the weld. If the finished piece is to be painted, then our anti-spatter is ideal as it will not contaminate degreasing baths. Anti splatter also allows the degreasing solution (dip tank, spray jet or hand wipe) to degrease properly leaving no deposits.
