Our Procart K spray booth filter combines either 6 or 8 layers of shaped and formed Kraft paper which allows for the fine filtration of all types of solvent and water-based paints (powders, varnish, lacquers & glues etc). Due to its multi-layers the Procart K filter, using the 'baffle principal', provides a high retention capacity and extremely fine filtration.

The Procart K is the most viable replacement for our Profibre (also known as paintstop) green & white fibreglass rolls as they offer superior filtration, are longer lasting, easier to store, non combustible, dust free & safer to handle. When we say longer lasting we really do mean longer lasting. Our Procart K booth filters will last 3 - 4 times longer than paintstop (Profibre) and last with no sufficient drop in airflow until the filter is full. One of the main, paint filtration, problems with paintstop is that the airflow drops very quickly once spraying starts. Procart K maintains the airflow whilst holding the overspray so you can continue to use the filter until the maximum retention has been reached.

Advantages:

Fine Filtration - For water-based or solvent based products, thermosetting paints or lacquers the filtration efficiency is 96%.

Load Loss & Constant Air Flow - The design and composition of the Procart K allows them to maintain a low load loss and airflow drop regardless of how dirty the filters are. With very little air resistance the Procart K allows for free circulation of air.

Quality Guarantee - Our primary concern is the overall quality of our products. As such the manufacturing process for the Procart K is fully automatic which gives us the highest manufacturing standards and the best operating filters for you.

Environmentally Friendly - Our Procart K spray booth filters are produced from natural & biodegradable products only. Due to the high efficiency and high load capacity these filters are long lasting so fewer filters are required annually. A saving for you and the environment.

Easy to Use - The Procart K is manufactured from natural products. The Kraft paper used is easy to cut and easy to install. It is free from dust and there are no fibres to cause irritation that many suffer from when installing standard fibreglass filtration rolls. Another saving for you is space....each roll of Procart K is supplied boxed therefore making storage easier than bagged rolls.

What changes do I need to make if I move from fibreglass to the Procart K range?

You shouldn't need to make any changes to your booth or spray area if you are currently using our Profibre or other fibreglass or Paintstop materials. As the Procart K filters are supplied on a roll (as are the fibreglass products) they are fitted in the same way as your current filter type.

Why does the Procart K have such a high paint holding capacity compared to the fibreglass?

The Procart K is made from a type of absorbent paper which is the big difference between the Procart K and fibreglass filters. The 'K' is made from absorbent materials so will hold the paint overspray as opposed to the fibreglass that is not absorbent. If you consider that the whole point of a booth filter is to remove overspray and allow air to flow. This is what the Procart K does and does it very well.

The Procart K costs more than the Profibre so why should I use it?

The Procart K does cost more to purchase but it lasts much longer and is a far more efficient filter. If a comparison is to be made, then it really should be made between the filtration quality of the filters rather than on price alone. However, if price is the determining factor then firstly the Procart K should be compared to the 50mm Profibre.

The m2 price of the Procart K is around 3 times that of the 50mm Profibre however the paint holding capacity is 3 - 4 times greater which means far less frequent changes which saves a lot of time both in the fitting and cleaning. Less changes also means that you purchase less product which saves on storage space and delivery costs. As the Procart K is absorbent it holds onto the dust so changing causes far less mess, again, meaning less cleaning. It also means that far less dust will pass through the filter meaning less dust on your fan and less dust going outside.
